Su popularidad se debe a su rendimiento y alta densidad energ\u00e9tica. <\/p>\n<p><strong>Composici\u00f3n y funcionamiento<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>La particularidad de estas pilas reside en la composici\u00f3n de su <strong>c\u00e1todo<\/strong> (el electrodo positivo), que es una mezcla de \u00f3xidos de <strong>n\u00edquel, manganeso y cobalto<\/strong>. De esta mezcla deriva el nombre NMC. <\/p>\n<p>Estas pilas funcionan seg\u00fan el principio <strong>de iones de litio<\/strong>: cuando se descargan, los iones de litio (Li+) viajan del \u00e1nodo al c\u00e1todo, generando una corriente el\u00e9ctrica.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ventajas e inconvenientes<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Ventajas:<\/strong> Las bater\u00edas NMC son famosas por su <strong>alta densidad energ\u00e9tica<\/strong>, que les permite almacenar una gran cantidad de energ\u00eda con un peso y volumen reducidos. Tambi\u00e9n ofrecen un rendimiento excelente y una vida \u00fatil superior a la media. <\/li>\n<li><strong>Desventajas:<\/strong> Son m\u00e1s sensibles a las altas temperaturas, lo que puede hacerlas menos estables.
